本月22日北海市侨港镇的渔民再度花费十多个小时从海上拖回一条死鲸，据拖鲸鱼回来的渔民说该鲸鱼发现是已经死亡，死因是撞入了其它渔民在海上布设的渔网，无法挣脱窒息至死。

据现场的专家说该鲸鱼为成年母鲸，体长12米，重量在20到30吨之间。该鲸鱼将分别做成骨架标本和鲸皮标本，初步处理完整条鲸鱼大约要花上十天左右的时间。

23日下午，由于死去多时，鲸鱼的腹部充满了腐败产生的气体变得跟个大气球一样，要先开个洞把里面的气体放出来

24日下午，退潮后清理鲸肉工作继续，可以看到鲸鱼体内的肉基本清理出来了，还剩头部还在清理中
